Currently, we are searching for a

Quality Manager (m/f)

at MENCK GmbH based in Kaltenkirchen.


This role would ideally suit a person who is keen to achieve processes with a strong focus on conformities and relations across other Operating Companies to ensure common standards and best practises are realised for the benefit of all parties. This is a role for someone who is a strong analytical and critical thinker who has the independent initiative and confidence to follow tasks through to completion.


Main tasks:

  • > Responsible for leading the Quality Management System (QMS) at MENCK GmbH with strong interface with MENCK Pte (Singapore) to ensure MENCK Group alignment on the QMS
  • > Develop a transparent (QMS) that supports the business focus on right-first-time by participating and managing all reported non-conformities, cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and process related root cause analyses (RCA)
  • > Identification and evaluation of costs due to quality defects and trend analysis to support corrective and preventive actions, cost and waste/efficiency and effectiveness learnings
  • > Support supplier development, quality control and engineering systems to align with business needs and expectations and opportunities to improve
  • > Be familiar with Quality Management investigative tools and use this to develop and drive a quality culture within the organisation
  • > Support the development of quality management plans for high value projects including new builds to ensure that quality standards are aligned to customer requirements and MENCK technology and engineering solutions in a cost effective way
  • > Performing all tasks relating to quality management and quality assurance principles
  • > Monitoring that the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9000 ff underlying the quality management system are observed and constantly met
  • > Creation, modification, distribution and archiving (or participation) of all QM system documents
  • > Monitoring the effectiveness of the QM system and the applicability of QM documentation, including preparation and execution of internal (system) audits, incorporating all quality-related procedures and activities within the company
  • > Writing the audit report and recording deviations


Desired skills and experience:

  • > Successfully completed studies in Mechanical Engineering or another appropriate technical proficiency
  • > Quality Management course or corresponding work experience
  • > Several years of relevant work experience
  • > Knowledge of common QM systems and test methods
  • > Have excellent internal and external Audit skills and experiences and demonstrate ability to lead ISO Standard Audits as required
  • > Solid foundations in the fields of materials science, metrology and mechanical engineering desirable
  • > High flexibility and sensitivity to priorities / feasibility and concerns of an engineering environment
  • > Must meet a high degree of acceptance on the Job Profile matrix
  • > Ability to interface management and team player
  • > Integrative, highly communicative and convincing
  • > Independent, systematic and analytical way of working
  • > Excellent spoken and written German language fluency
